The Air Peace Safety Department recently conducted a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan (ERP) Table Top exercise focused on managing kidnapping and hostage-taking situations, as part of the company’s continuous commitment to safety, preparedness, and operational excellence.

The exercise was designed to equip staff with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to security incidents while ensuring the protection of lives.
The session which was led by the Simulation Organizer, Mr. Femi Ologundudu, Assistant Manager, Safety Assurance at Air Peace, provided expert guidance on established emergency response protocols and best practices in crisis management. Participants enacted scenarios that reflected potential kidnapping and hostage-taking situations, allowing them to observe, engage, and better understand the steps involved in such emergencies.

These scenarios were enacted to simulate real-life conditions, emphasizing coordination, communication, decision-making, and commitment to safety procedures.

At the end of the scenarios, detailed critiques were made to identify strengths, gaps and reinforce key learning points. This approach ensured that all participants gained clear insights into appropriate actions as well as the importance of emergent response, giving clear, concise and important information during crisis situations.

The Emergency Response Plan exercise underscores Air Peace’s proactive approach to safety management and its dedication to continuous improvement.
